The Cuban government has extended its condolences to Colombia in light of the tragic loss of life and significant destruction caused by a powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake. This natural disaster struck the western region of Colombia, resulting in at least 111 deaths and 87 injuries according to the latest official reports. Miguel Díaz-Canel, the Cuban leader, expressed sorrow on the platform X over the fatalities, injuries, and destruction caused by the earthquake in the Chocó department. The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, also communicated his sympathies to both the people and government of Colombia regarding the loss of life, injuries, and damages inflicted by the earthquake. Significant damage was reported across several western Colombian cities, including Cali, Pereira, Quibdó, and Manizales.
