Gideon School District will open for the fall term Monday, Aug. 24, with a full day of classes. The district will hold its open house and annual Title I meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, beginning in students’ homerooms. Elementary class lists and student schedules for junior high and senior high school students will be available at this time," school officials said. The district will operate on its regular schedule for the first two Mondays of the school year before beginning a four-day school week the week of Sept. 8. New district students may register beginning Monday, Aug. 10.
