Mid-West Farm Report
The 2026 Corn Yield Contest from the National Corn Growers Association is an opportunity for growers to compete with others facing similar production conditions and earn recognition at both the state and national levels.
Now in its 62nd year, the NCGA Yield Contest includes multiple production classes and continues to expand opportunities for growers nationwide.
Contest participants compete in irrigated, non-irrigated, and specialty classes, including the Nitrogen Management Class, which recognizes growers who achieve high yields while limiting nitrogen applications.
New for 2026, NCGA has introduced a pilot class for short-season corn hybrids with a relative maturity of 99 days or fewer, offering additional recognition opportunities for growers in northern production regions, including Wisconsin.
