SMITH COUNTY, Texas — One person died after a plane crashed Sunday afternoon in a rural area of Smith County between Arp and Overton, according to officials. Smith County Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Curtis Wulf said one person was on board the plane and was killed in the crash. Wulf identified as Kaleb Kramer, 33, as the victim. According to a spokesperson with the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane was an Avid Flyer Mark IV experimental plane.
