According to a report by ZDNet citing industry sources, Samsung Display is working on CTG or Center-etched Thin Glass. As Samsung works out the kinks, like making the panel appear flat, CTG could be present in the Galaxy Z Fold 9 series of foldables coming out next year. With the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung managed to slim down the foldable quite a bit and brought the improvements to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 8, leading to record pre-orders.
