Ongole: The joint collector of Prakasam district, Kalpana Kumari, said that the government, police, and voluntary organisations must work together to completely end human trafficking in society. It was organised jointly by the district Women and Child Welfare Department, Labour Department, Child Protection Unit, District Legal Services Authority, Anti Human Trafficking Unit, Disha police, and NGOs HELP and SARDS. Speaking at the meeting held after the rally, Kalpana Kumari informed that human trafficking stands as the second largest crime in the world. She warned that traffickers use social media to trap victims through false promises of love and jobs. She urged officials to conduct monthly coordination meetings through the district Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and to track missing girls and women closely.
