Canopius Group, a global specialty and P&C re/insurer, has appointed Rebecca Simeone as its new US Chief Risk Officer. Simeone will report to incoming US CEO Nadine Moore and Group Chief Risk Officer Sheldon Lacy. She will also become a member of the US Executive Committee, with responsibility for further developing Canopius’ risk management framework as the business continues to expand in the region. Canopius said Simeone brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. In addition to her industry experience, Simeone currently serves as Vice Chair of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA).
