On Sunday, an Iranian media outlet issued a report about remarks made by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. He indicated that Iran believes it will not be possible to resume negotiations until the alleged violations of the memorandum of understanding have been resolved, and until Washington has compensated Tehran for those violations. Araghchi also noted that negotiations between Iran and Oman to determine a new sea route in the Strait of Hormuz are in the final stages.
