I think the next four years are going to be very critical ones for Chatham-Kent as there are a number of pressing issues that need to be tackled. I’d like to be part of the team moving our community forward during these challenging times. A lack of affordable housing, homelessness and drug addiction are big issues that impact many people in our community. Homelessness and drug addiction in particular also contribute to higher crime rates and less police time for other situations. Must-do projects must take top priority at budget time and nice to do’s need to be put on the shelf for now.
