Fox, 84, of Taylorsville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. Ray was born May 28, 1942, in Catawba County, the son of the late Roscoe Fox and Maude Bolick Fox. Mr. Fox will be truly missed by his family and friends. Family members left to cherish and honor Ray’s memories include his loving wife for over 60 years, Carolyn Bowman Fox of the home; his daughter, Renee Mayberry (Edward) of Wilmington, N.C.; his son, Kenny Fox (Teena) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Amanda Mayberry (Malcolm), Dalton Fox (Samantha), Adrianna Jensen (Jordan), and Kendra Reitzell (Oliver); his great-grandchildren, Rylee, Baylee, Ryder, Archer, Jemma, Baylor, and Rhen; his sisters, Ruby Matthews of Conover, Jeanett Hefner and Jean Loftin, (James) all of Claremont; his brothers, George Fox, Everett Fox, and Tommy Fox (Faye), all of Claremont, and Keith Fox of Conover; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
