That will make him a better player, and that will make South Africa a better team,” notes Fortune. The move is also expected to allow Makhanya a chance to finally establish himself within Bafana. Despite being included in the 2026 World Cup squad, he did not feature in any games and was a squad player in Hugo Broos’ team.
