Annita Gee Richards, 80, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Annita was a strong and remarkable woman whose determination and strength carried her through a life filled with both great joy and profound loss. Annita was preceded in death by her parents, Lotis and Wilma Gee; her brother, John Gee; and her first husband, Lloyd Simpson. She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Lloyd Richards; her daughters, Alisa Simpson Varnado (Steve) and Amy Simpson; and her beloved grandchildren, Kayla Sing (Andres), Bradly Roof (Stephanie), C.J. Varnado, and Tim Roof (Janna); her great-granddaughter, Natasha Sing; her siblings, Bob Gee, Nancy Starkloff, Tim Gee and Dave Gee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
