Ted William “Porky” Stokes Jr., 66, of Statesville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2026, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Porky was born on May 17, 1960, in Alexander County to the late Ted Stokes Sr. and Shirley Scotts Stokes. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2026, from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
