JAMAICA’S Joel Angus and Tahlia Richardson won the mixed doubles title at the inaugural Jamaica International Badminton Tournament, which concluded at the Alfred Sangster Auditorium, University of Technology (UTech), in Kingston on Sunday. The Jamaica International, the opening tournament of the Jamaica Badminton Association’s SMASH Jamaica 2026 series, was held August 5-9 and featured players from Jamaica and overseas competing for ranking points and international experience. In women’s doubles, Sydney Hanyue Li and Katelin Ngo of the United States won the title. India’s Sai Pratheek K and Ruben Kumar Rethinasabapathi won the men’s doubles title, with United States pair Srinivas Subash and Joshua Yang finishing second.
