St George letters: Chris Minns defends NSW housing reforms
[]
St George & Sutherland Shire Leader - Local News
I am writing regarding Bayside Rates Notice.
To my surprise apart from the annual increase of $91.53 there was an additional $10 Temporary Waste Fuel Fee.
When I inquired to council about this extra fee the response was its because of the increase of petrol in the Gulf.
I am shocked by the council's actions in a struggling economy and take advantage of Bayside ratepayers with an extra levy.
Instead a proper solution would be to reduce their salary by five per cent to compensate the residents, during these hard times.
