Felicia Jean Freeman Bennett, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Union Grove, N.C., on August 5, 2026. Felicia was adopted by Carolyn and Clarence Freeman Jr., who nurtured her with love and support. Felicia was preceded in death by her husband, Jason Padgett, and her forever soulmate, Alan Bennett, lovingly known as Superman. She is survived by her cherished mother, Carolyn Godfrey; her devoted daughters, Amanda Borgilt (Mike), Candice McLelland (April), and Jana Bennett; and her adored grandchildren, Corbin Cooley, Caiden Bennett, Gavan Bennett, Wesley Wooten, Lydiah Hooper, Jaxan Wooten, Oaklee Wooten, and Legend McLelland. Felicia Jean Freeman Bennett will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
