Randy and Jenny Boyd's Boyd Racing picked up a Nyquist colt Monday night at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale for $3.2 million.
The bay colt, consigned by Gainesway, agent for Stonestreet Bred & Raised, is out of the Marking mare Slammed, who captured the GIII Thoroughbred Club of American Stakes at Keeneland in 2022.
Stonestreet purchased the mare for $1.1 million at the 2024 Fasig-Tipton November sale with the colt in utero; the Stonestreet-bred colt is her first foal.
Consigned as Hip 83, the $3.2-million yearling is bred on a similar cross to Nyquist's GISWs Immersive and Nysos.
