The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) has named the recipients of the 2025 State and Canadian Breeders of the Year Awards, recognizing outstanding breeders whose achievements distinguished them during the 2025 racing season, the organization said in a press release on Tuesday. The breeders will be honored during the State and Canadian Breeders Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at Coolmore- Ashford Stud, one day after the 41st Annual TOBA National Awards Dinner, which will be held on Thursday, Sept. 10, at The Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky. National Award Finalists for Breeder of the Year, Small Breeder of the Year, Cot Campbell Partnership of the Year, and Owner of the Year will be announced on Friday, Aug. 14. “It is a great honor and privilege for TOBA to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the state breeders,” said TOBA president Dan Metzger.
