Amaravati: YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and former minister Seediri Appalaraju were unable to meet in jail on Wednesday after prison authorities denied permission, citing prison regulations. According to prison officials, YSRCP leaders sought permission for Appalaraju to meet Jagan after 5 pm. After consulting higher authorities, the jail administration decided that no exception could be made and denied the meeting. Later, speaking to media along with family members of Appalaraju, Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the Chandrababu Naidu-led government of conspiring against the family of former minister. Jagan accused the government of sowing divisions among communities and misusing the system to harass political opponents.
