Seven senior parliamentary officials, who were recently interdicted by the Inspector General of Government (IGG) and later arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court, have been committed to the High Court for trial. They include Chris Obore, Director of Communications and Public Affairs; Daniel Adilo, Director of Human Resource; Rajab Kaaya Ssemalulu, Principal Research Officer; and Emmanuel Okwi Emuron, Principal Protocol Officer. The other affected officials are Vincent Otebata, Capacity Development Officer; Leonard Okema, Executive Secretary in the Office of the Speaker; and Stella Itute, Office Supervisor in the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms. The seven officials, who are currently on remand at Luzira Prison, will be arraigned before the High Court on a date to be communicated.
