Nandala tasks gov’t to invest more in hospitals
['Brenda Luwedde']
NTV Uganda
Former Budadiri West Member of Parliament and presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi has challenged the government to allocate funding to Cure Children’s Hospital in Mbale, saying the facility is performing critical paediatric surgeries at a fraction of the cost Uganda spends on seeking treatment abroad.
Mafabi says the hospital, which performs life-saving brain surgeries on children suffering from spina bifida and hydrocephalus, is effectively doing the government’s work at a cost of about 7.8 million shillings per child.
