Fife Council to spend £150k repairing building at fire hit recycling centre

Fife Council is set to spend around £150,000 repairing a fire-hit building at Ladybank Recycling Centre.
According to planning documents, it has submitted a building warrant to make “alterations to remove [the] building envelope”.
Most recently firefighters battled a large blaze at the site for around seven hours on July 22.
Charred Fife recycling centre building to undergo ‘full inspection’The recycling centre is operated by Cireco, which is owned by the council.
A Fife Council spokesperson told The Courier that if the warrant is approved the panels on the outside of the building would be removed.
