An International Lifeguard Museum is planned to open inside Atlantic City's historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. The new facility will celebrate lifeguards' history, culture, and life-saving mission while promoting water safety. Established in 2024, the nonprofit International Lifeguard Museum aims to create a museum experience that could become an international hub for sharing lifeguarding techniques, technology, and experiences, while remaining committed to universal water-safety education.
