Fulchhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) office in Gaibandha was vandalised today during a protest demanding cancellation of the list of family card information collectors. Leaders and activists of the local BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, NCP, along with job seekers, brought out a procession on the UNO office premises in the afternoon. Witnesses said the upazila administration published the list of names for family card information collectors on Monday night. As news spread, BNP and allied activists, NCP activists, along with deprived job seekers, staged a protest around 1:00pm today. The procession paraded the office premises, during which windows of the UNO’s room and several chairs were vandalised.
