Two South Jersey medical centers earned spots among New Jersey's top-ranked hospitals in newly released rankings from U.S. News & World Report.
The publication evaluated 93 hospitals across New Jersey and identified 11 as Best Regional Hospitals for 2026-2027, a designation given to facilities that combine strong statewide standing with high marks in specific procedures and conditions.
The full list of Best Regional Hospitals in New Jersey includes Hackensack University Medical Center, Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Cooper University Health Care, Englewood Hospital, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center, Valley Hospital, and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – Atlantic City Campus.
Cooper University Health Care, headquartered in Camden, ranked fourth among New Jersey hospitals and eighth among hospitals in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
