Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...COLUMBUS—The Polk County Historical Association will hold its monthly third Tuesday program at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, at the Polk County History Museum. This month’s program will explore the history, stories and legends surrounding the Cherokee in the area during the American Revolution. The program will include discussions of the Tryon Treaty, massacres in the region and the Battle of Round Mountain. It will be held upstairs, with an elevator available for those who need it.
