The Irish Farmers Association’s launched a CAP hub to highlight the impact a proposed €2.5billion cut to the EU Budget would devastate food production and rural communities.
Members believe the next three months are critical to secure a viable deal for farmers here with organisation President Francie Gorman saying now is not the time to see food security supports decrease.
ADVERTISEMENTThe IFA has five key asks on CAP post 2027, the first of which seeks an increased budget as opposed to the almost quarter drop projected.
ADVERTISEMENTThat figure for Kilkenny is €4,015 and €3,767 for Carlow.
