Western Sydney residents will be able to fly to holiday destinations in Southeast Asia after Vietjet Air signed on to fly out of Western Sydney International Airport (WSI). From Sunday, January 10, 2027, Vietjet will operate two weekly services every Sunday and Wednesday to Ho Chi Minh City. The two services will arrive at 10am at WSI and depart for Ho Chi Minh City at 12.05pm. From March, a third weekly service will begin operating between WSI and Ho Chi Minh City. Tickets for the Ho Chi Minh City flights taking off in January are now available for purchase online with prices starting at AUD $299, one way.
