A third work, a City of London police sentry box painted as a piranha tank in 2024, cost £2,200 to remove and will go on permanent display at the London Museum later this year. The National Portrait Gallery has announced the four photographers shortlisted for the Winston Taylor Photo Portrait Prize 2026, with their work set to feature in a dedicated exhibition at the institution. Kent’s entry draws on two decades spent documenting stories in Cuba, including a striking portrait of 16-year-old pentathlete Neisser. Brandei Estes, Senior Curator of Photography at the National Portrait Gallery, praised the strength of this year’s submissions, noting that she and her fellow judges were struck by the talent and creativity on display.
