Family-owned Fresh & Save is expanding again, with a new Mackay store putting the independent grocer’s ambitions to challenge the supermarket giants firmly in the spotlight. Fresh & Save heads northFresh & Save managing director Grant Prince said the family-owned business aims to provide communities with “high-quality fresh food and a lower grocery bill”. “We look forward to welcoming our customers next year and growing the Milton Precinct hub with other businesses and industries.” Fresh & Save operates warehouse-style supermarkets with on-site butcheries and bakeries, fresh produce, chilled foods and groceries. For Fresh & Save, the Mackay store is another step in a much simpler ambition.
