Gold prices have jumped again in the local market with the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) raising the price of 22-carat gold by Tk1,108 per bhori. According to a BAJUS notice issued on Tuesday (11 August), the price of one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk235,146, including VAT. The latest adjustment came after BAJUS last revised gold prices on 8 August. On that occasion, the association increased the price of 22-carat gold by Tk4,374 per bhori to Tk234,038, including VAT. With Tuesday’s adjustment, gold prices in Bangladesh have now been revised 101 times so far this year.
