Mr Hassan has been charged with rape; kidnap; strangulation; sexual assault; theft of a mobile phone; and dangerous driving. Mr Hassan, of Hale Lane, Failsworth - who wore a grey jumper and grey bottoms - was remanded in custody by District Judge James Hulse. Mr Hassan was represented by Lucy Hicks.
