Kathy Hochul to sign Kyra’s Law.
Franchetti said she chose to hold the event in the Saratoga-Albany region because Kyra’s Law is statewide legislation affecting children across New York.
“Ten years ago, I was planning Kyra’s funeral,” Franchetti said.
The bill also would expand judicial training on family violence and child abuse.
“I remember when she would say ‘mama,’ and I remember the deafening silence when she was taken,” Franchetti said.
