The allegations stem from a July 28 traffic stop at Oriole and Thekla avenues in St. Louis. Hansen credited cooperation among state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as community members who provided information. St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert J. Tracy said an attack against law enforcement also affects those working to protect neighborhoods and communities. Tracy also expressed appreciation to the law enforcement agencies participating in the investigation and to the nationally recognized St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Crime Laboratory.
