After contractors finished the work last Thursday, they painted fresh yellow lines next to where the original ones had been covered by tarmac. However, just one day later, residents started to notice another set of lighter yellow lines that had been painted directly over the existing markings. Now, locals are voicing their fury over what appears to be ‘quadruple’ yellow lines. They get to the site, see double yellows already in place and then think – oh, it looks like the road needs four yellow lines not two – unbelievable!’
