Tirupati: Following a complaint from public, corporation officials inspected ‘Biryani Factory’ outlet at Jagjivanram Park on Wednesday night. Acting on the directions from district Collector and Special Officer Dr S Venkateswar, Health Officer Dr Yuva Anvesh, Veterinary Officer Gunasekhar, Food Safety Officer and sanitary staff inspected the outlet. Health Officer Dr Yuva Anvesh said that they received a complaint that a young girl suffered food poisoning after eating biryani from Biryani Factory and undergoing treatment. The officials seized Biryani Factory outlet and sent available biryani and curd samples to laboratory for checking purity and contamination. She also advised consumers not to buy ultra-cheap food items and to check quality before purchase.
