Long Island hospitals receive national recognition from U.S. News & World Report

Nassau County hospitals Northwell Health, NYU Langone and Catholic Health have each received recognition by the U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-27 Best Hospitals rankings.
Out of Northwell’s 11 Long Island hospitals, five earned more than 20 adult specialties that were ranked in the top 50 of the nation’s hospitals: North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, Huntington Hospital, South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore and Glen Cove Hospital.
North Shore University Hospital and the Long Island Jewish Medical Center were also ranked the state’s fourth- and fifth-best hospitals, respectively, while Huntington ranked 11th and South Shore University Hospital ranked 12th.
St. Francis Hospital has received national recognition in cardiology, heart and vascular surgery for the 19th consecutive year and remains the only Long Island hospital to maintain this recognition.
The hospital was also ranked 17th among the nation’s best hospitals and 5th among the state’s best hospitals.
