I have been writing about the assault on public education for a long time. After the Public School Choice Act of 2015, Arkansas parents have had an almost unlimited ability to pick which public school district they want their children to attend. A parent can choose to live in a particular public school district and enroll students there. You may expect that the test scores of Arkansas public students will rise steadily as measured by the new Arkansas-developed Atlas test. The latest idiotic lurch is a proposal for a $3,000 tax credit for private school and homeschool families.
