Hillsboro man accused of threatening to set home on fire during domestic dispute

HILLSBORO, Ohio — A Hillsboro man is accused of pouring paint thinner on a kitchen floor and threatening to set a residence on fire during a domestic dispute early Saturday, according to the Highland County Sheriff’s Office.
Photo: Highland County Sheriff’s OfficeDeputies were dispatched to a residence on Lazy Trail at about 3:03 a.m. Aug. 8 in response to a reported domestic dispute, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators learned that Justin Childers had poured paint thinner onto the kitchen floor and threatened to set the residence on fire, according to the sheriff’s office.
He was transported to the Highland County Jail, the sheriff’s office said.
