CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office asked residents Monday to steer clear of downed power lines and to be patient with response times as deputies worked through a surge of calls tied to storm damage across the county. Deputies said they had received several reports of live power lines down in roadways around the county. The sheriff’s office warned drivers who come across downed lines not to drive over them. Instead, the office said, drivers should turn around and call the non-emergency line at 740-474-2176 to report the location. The information contained in this story was obtained from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
