BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – More than 53,000 visitors attended the 2026 Saratoga County Fair, which ran from July 21 to July 26, as the Saratoga County Agricultural Society concluded another successful year celebrating agriculture, education, entertainment and community, officials announced. Opening ceremonies set the tone for the week, welcoming regional elected officials and community leaders in support of one of Saratoga County’s longest-standing traditions, the announcement said. Agriculture remained at the heart of the fair experience, fair officials said, adding that this year marked the beginning of a new partnership with the Special Olympics Equestrian program, bringing athletes to the fairgrounds for the first time. Longtime Fair partners, including Cornell Cooperative Extension, local 4-H clubs and area motorsports organizations, once again attracted enthusiastic audiences, the announcement said. Visitors also enjoyed the addition of a striking six-horse hitch team, which became one of the week’s most photographed attractions, the release said.
