MetaOptics Ltd has withdrawn its application to list on the Nasdaq Stock Market, effective 7 August 2026.
“The Proposed Nasdaq Dual Listing was always a means, not an end,” Thng said in an SGX announcement, adding that the company remained well-capitalised with a healthy cash balance.
Second, MetaOptics pointed to the pace of technological disruption across the optics and semiconductor value chain, as well as stronger competition for capital in the semiconductor sector.
MetaOptics said its proposed Nasdaq listing was intended to provide access to US capital markets, support the expansion of its metalens design and fabrication capabilities in the US, and put the company closer to potential customers.
MetaOptics described the Nasdaq withdrawal as a deferral rather than a change in its longer-term ambitions for the US market.
