All-state shortstop Kaylee Sypolt was set on Kent State but had to make a change on the fly with one high school softball season left to play.
Jexx Varner, who led a resurgence at Robert Morris, took the Kent State job.
The change in command prompted Sypolt to look elsewhere, and she connected with St. Bonaventure, an Atlantic 10 program.
“Coach Decker started to recruit me in June after I announced reopening my recruitment,” Sypolt said.
“I absolutely loved the campus, and the culture that coach Decker is bringing to the program.”
