A local school district is seeking state funding for roof repairs through a grant opportunity. The Butler Area School board recently approved a Public School Facility Improvement grant resolutions with the Department of Community and Economic Development’s Commonwealth Financing Authority. They are asking for over $2.5 million to replace the roof at Center Township Elementary which requires a local match of just over $600,000.
