APPLICATIONS have opened for Fife sports clubs, charities and community groups to apply for a share of the £100,000 council Summer of Sport fund.
The fund, delivered by Fife Council in partnership with sportscotland, supports organisations who provide affordable sport opportunities to people aged 3 to 26.
Organisations can apply for grants between £2,500 and £5,000 with up to 40 clubs and community organisations expected to be supported.
The Scottish Government has provided £840,000 of investment to Fife Council for the programme.
She said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Fife-based sports clubs, charities and community organisations to access funding that will directly benefit our local children and young people.
