THE SHIRT worn by Colin Firth in one of British television’s most memorable scenes has gone on display in Scotland for the first time. Mr Darcy’s famous “wet shirt” from the BBC’s 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice can now be seen at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh. The exhibition celebrates the work of Cosprop, the costume house founded in 1965 by Oscar and BAFTA-winning designer John Bright OBE. “To make a splash in Edinburgh”Dovecot director Celia Joicey said: “We’re delighted to bring Mr Darcy’s iconic wet shirt, worn by Colin Firth, to make a splash in Edinburgh this summer, where it will be seen alongside some of the UK’s most important film and television moments. Costume Couture: Sixty Years of Cosprop runs at Dovecot Studios on Infirmary Street until January 16, 2027.
