The 911 Consolidation Taskforce voted to build a nine-member governing board for a joint public safety answering point between Fayetteville and Cumberland County. The proposed governing board will have three representatives from both governments, one Fort Bragg representative, and two non-voting managers. City manager Doug Hewett and county manager Clarence Grier will hold non-voting, ex-officio positions. The 911 Consolidation Taskforce discussed several key issues. The Joint 911 Consolidation Taskforce will meet again on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 3:30 p.m.
