A 44-year-old property agent, Olamilekan Ogunseye, on Tuesday appeared before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, over an alleged N1.5 million fraud. Ogunseye, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of fraud and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty. The Prosecutor, ASP Simon Njue, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Jan. 27 at 11.30 a.m. at Oyewole area of Dopemu, Lagos. Njue alleged that the defendant collected N1.5 million from the complainant. “All efforts made by the complainant to get a refund or the the rented apartment proved abortive,” the prosecutor said.
