Court arraigns two men over alleged theft of N1mTwo men, Rasaq Abdullahi Aro and Ayinde Olakunle Sikiru on Tuesday appeared before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court for an alleged theft of N1,025,000 million.
Rasaq and Ayinde, whose residential addresses were not provided, are standing trial for a three-count charge of conspiracy, breach of peace and stealing.
The Prosecutor, ASP Simon Njue told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Feb. 13, at about 2.00 p.m., at Akinsola Road, Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Section 168(d) prescribes two years imprisonment for breach of peace, Section 287 prescribes three years imprisonment for theft, and Section 411 prescribes two years imprisonment for conspiracy.
The Magistrate, Miss F.R Ogunkoyode granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 with two responsible sureties each in like sum.
