A parent group in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is calling for technology reforms for select students under the umbrella of the Essential Six changes. They based the proposal on the actions LAUSD took and responses from over 180 CMS parents, students, and teachers in a survey. Kaul said she and other parents from Schools Beyond Schools have met with some CMS school board members. “We've had meetings about monthly, and we've had school board members show up either via Zoom or in person,” Kaul said. Parents with Schools Beyond Screens plan to address the CMS board at its regular meeting Tuesday.
